- 1 bundle of collard greens stripped and sliced
- half onion
- 1 clove garlic
- bacon grease
- salt pepper
- 3 cups chicken stock + water to cover collards
- Set the Crockpot Express to Saute and add the bacon
- Once it cooks down a little add the onion and garlic
- Add the sausage and cook an additional 5 minutes
- Add the stock and collard greens. Make sure there is enough liquid to cover them. Add seasoning and stir.
- Select MANUAL and cook for 20 minutes. Slow release.
